CJSC “Bank of Asia” continues to advance sustainable finance. On September 21, 2026, a meeting was held as part of the World Bank Mission under the project “Development of a Sustainable Financial Market for MSMEs in the Kyrgyz Republic.”
The meeting brought together representatives of the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Key topics discussed included:
✔️ project implementation and utilization of attracted funds;
✔️ business demand for green financing;
✔️ current results and volumes of green lending;
✔️ the indicative share of green lending in the loan portfolio;
✔️ prospects for expanding sustainable finance;
✔️ application of ESG approaches and the Green Taxonomy;
✔️ key challenges and opportunities for further market development.
International partnerships not only enable the mobilization of financial resources, but also contribute to the development of new instruments, expertise, and approaches to sustainable finance.
The next step is scaling up: more accessible resources, more green projects, and greater opportunities for businesses to transition to modern and efficient technologies.
