Books ... How much do they mean in our life? How often do we read or allow ourselves to read? In our dynamic age, we are more and more lost at work or on social networks, in unnecessary discussions, watching news feeds, becoming “couch” critics in politics, economics, in social issues, and less and less time is spent on books. Maximum reading professional literature.

Each of us loves going to the bookstores, huge bookshelves, when our eyes run, and you look forward to grabbing one book after another. Interesting headlines and annotations to them, bright covers and the incomparable smell of a fresh edition, with a short regret that you cannot buy everything at once and the feeling of anticipation of meeting new characters. According to our desire, a whole world appears in the room, you just need to turn over the cover. The simple process of turning letters into heroes is filled with new colors.

Sometimes we read mechanically, without really delving into the essence, in transport or in some breaks free from meetings, and it happens so fascinatingly and delays that we cannot tear ourselves away and do not notice anything else around us.

With each new book read, inspiration comes and ideas are born. Together with it, it is easier to solve complex tasks, to be interesting in communication and to adapt in society. The wider our horizons, the richer the experience and the more extensive the memory, the greater chances for success. Knowledge becomes obsolete quickly, and the ability to analyze the information received and grab the most valuable information from it is always important. To do this, you need to read a lot, be able to "live" the fate of the heroes, anticipating the development of the plot. This is more exciting than any virtual reality and this can be learned and taught.

This is especially lacking for our children. They will love to read if they see an example of their parents. Indeed, for thousands of years, basic human values ​​have not changed, and advice from the past may still be relevant. And you can also discuss the read together, coming up with different outcomes and finals.

However, to what extent are books available to every schoolchild in our country, especially in the regions? Only families with good incomes in the capital and in large cities. Unfortunately, with the decline in the standard of living and total unemployment, more and more children are not able to buy textbooks, not like fiction. In many families there is no Internet, only money for the most necessary. What will happen to the country and the level of education in this situation?

What awaits Kyrgyzstan tomorrow? What will be the new generation? Probably each of us adults, at least once in my life asked this question.

Experiencing and discussing these and other issues, we with our team came to the development of the concept of a #readingcountry. This is one of the social areas of the bank. The concept, which is designed to help develop education in the country, increase the reading culture among adults, introduce the younger generation to books, promote literacy and reduce excitement to the topic of social networks, and also arouse genuine interest in reading educational, professional and fiction literature.

Together, with caring citizens through various events, we want to create values, within which all of society will unite, and together we can come to a renewed, educated, prosperous country called Reading Kyrgyzstan. This undoubtedly should affect the economy and the social sector of the country, as smart, educated people are a powerful human resource that can give impetus to development and move our country forward. It is all the more symbolic to realize these initiatives in the Year of Regional Development and the 90th Anniversary of C. Aitmatov declared by the President.

For its part, the bank plans to purchase and donate books to a regional school. But it is very small within the whole country. Therefore, we really need your support!

In this regard, the "Bank of Asia" announces the beginning of the collection of books through our branches and savings banks. For this purpose, special shelves have been prepared in 24 of our offices (a list of collection points is here a list of offices of the Bank of Asia for collecting books)

What should be done? Bring a book to our offices: a textbook or fiction, and we will give it to schools and libraries in need. However, please note that the book must be new or necessarily in good condition. Preference is given to current educational literature.

At the beginning of next year, we will summarize and post a report on the website and on social networks. Books are accepted until December 31, 2018.
