Bank of Asia Supports FinOlimp First Financial Olympiad

Bank of Asia was the general partner of the first financial Olympiad in Kyrgyzstan, FinOlimp-2019. This is the first Olympiad in economics and finance among students and young professionals up to 23 years old, organized by the bank, the club of professionals "PRO KG" and the Good Solutions Group.

The objectives of the Olympiad are:

•  popularization of financial and economic education in the country;
• identifying talented students and young professionals, promoting their employment and internship at the bank;
• contribution to the formation of a comprehensively-developed youth of the new generation, designed to solve the main economic and social problems of society.

Students of any course at economic universities in Bishkek could register for the Olympiad. For students, participation in the Olympiad is, above all, invaluable experience, a test of their strength, new knowledge and the opportunity to get a desired job. The winners will be the strongest, but each participant will undoubtedly acquire practical knowledge, necessary not only in the profession of financier, but also in everyday life.

The winners will receive the top prize of $ 500 from the Bank of Asia, and the best of the best will be able to get into the Banker's School, get an internship, and later work at the bank. Covering all the costs of the Olympiad takes over the Bank of Asia.

The Olympiad is divided into three rounds: the first and second - testing, training and master classes. The final final round is solving specialized case studies in finance, working in a team and identifying winners.

Since the beginning of March, a number of master classes from leading financiers, economists, bankers and businessmen of the country on the analysis of financial statements, investment valuation of companies, financial modeling and investing in private companies and start-ups took place in large universities in Bishkek.

On March 26, in the Bishkek Financial and Economic Academy, Bank of Asia held its master class “New digital model of bank sales” for students from various universities, where it touched upon the current topic of digitalization of any business, selling online services and introducing new digital technologies in the bank’s work.

On April 13, at the Orion Hotel, the second round of the Olympiad was held, during which the card department of the bank conducted a financial literacy training for students. “The advantages of using bank cards. The convenient mobile application Elkart Mobile, and the HR department employees lability test, familiarized the children with the internal project “Banker's School.” The most active of them received pleasant gifts and certificates for opening a VISA GOLD card with free annual maintenance.

Of the five hundred who submitted students for the Olympiad, only 70 people went to the second round. After testing in the third round there will be only 25 of them.

We would like to note that this Olympiad is held within the framework of corporate social responsibility of the bank, as well as within the framework of the Global Money Week, the purpose of which is to increase the financial literacy of the population.

April 21 will be the final round of the Olympiad. Students are tentatively divided into five teams and will give work on a real banking case, the results of which will reveal the winners.
