"Bank of Asia" CJSC sponsored the exhibition "Chalkan" dedicated to the Kyrgyz language

Today there are many people who are fluent in foreign languages, but the native language is still the most precious. First of all, the native language preserves the memory of the people, history, experience and traditions.
Each language is beautiful and boundless in its own way, including Kyrgyz, which is not only rich and melodic, but also unique. Distinctive feature and sharpness are sometimes difficult to translate. However, this is the uniqueness of the language of our homeland

This exhibition is dedicated to the beauty of the Kyrgyz language. The satirical magazine "Chalkan" (translated as "nettle"), which appeared in 1955, ridiculed the vices of society and topical topics with the help of sharpness of language and caricature. At its origins is the founder of the genre in Kyrgyzstan, art editor, artist Asanbek Turumbekov (1936-1987). The skill, accuracy and problems covered in the magazine take on a second life in the era of the triumph of comics and the rich socio-political life of our country. At the exhibition you will see the author's original works created during the 1960s-1980s, which have not lost their relevance after more than half a century. "Til korku-makal"" says the proverb, which means “the beauty of speech is a proverb.” Young digital artists have transferred its beauty into the language of plastics, displaying 12 wise folk sayings in their works.
As a Bank supporting educational and creative projects for many years, we could not ignore the topic of popularization and development of the Kyrgyz language, and considered it our duty to support this project.
